Default Western digital caviar green 1.5 TB problem

Ok guys I got this hardisk for about 8 months now. This past few days is giving me crap. I formatted my pc after when the boot files went corrupted on my other hardisk a WD 10k rpm. Now with the new format it does not recognize the WD 1.5 TB in windows 7. In the bios though its there recognized. Sometimes when I boot up the PC aswell it will not load further than the first logo of windows as if it can't locate my secondary hardisk (WD 1.5 TB).

I am running out of ideas on what to do.

Nope nothing. Didn't try to format the hardisk again because I have so much important data on it.

if it see's it in the BIOS, and not windows, are you looking in "My Computer" ??

Try opening disk manager and see if you can see it there.....it might just need initialising. But if its stopping at windows boot then it sounds like it's trying to poll the drive and can't. I would back up all your data on the drive just to be safe.....then maybe try and full (not quick) format and scandisk
