Umm might be ok then...

I've just done a PSU calculator thing and it reckons I'll be needing a 1400w unit when its all under stress, but thats with just two cards and not three as I'm guessing I'll need I'll have to try I just dont want it to harm the hardware...

you will be fine with the AX1200, PSU calcs generally lie, cause they say max power consumption, and not average, its very unlikely that everything will be pulling the TDP power, so you should be fine

I wont try running Linx and Kombuster then together to see if the rig is stable or not then

I ran Linx @ 4.5Ghz and had a single 8800GT plugged in (amoungest all the fans and water cooling) peaked at 620w load..... Ouch!!

no way, 3 580s on an overclocked system is just under 1000w, so with 1200w you have enough headroom

phil, you might want to read up on PSUs, depending on the efficiency, a PSU can pull 850w from the wall to deliver 750w

I'll see what its pulling from the wall Olly and let you know

I know these Corsairs are nothing short of awesome when it comes to Efficency which was one of the reasons for buying them both, but I will look again and see what it says

I think it did say in the review I read it was able to pull over 1500W so, I think we should be alright, either way

1500w peak, you wouldn't want it to pull that all the time, it will blow.

But yeah, I know I'm good with mine

Oh if I was constantly pulling 1500W I'd need two PSU's or something in there because that would just worry the hell out of me.. I'm actually going to wonder how the heck I'm going to run everything in my other rig, I am not looking forward to cabling it all up thats for sure!!
