Aparently they began work with a PSU manufacturing company a while back and were ready to release a few high end 80+ Silver models, but when they saw all the 80+ Gold PSUs from rivals at various trade shows, they backed off and so this is their way of jamming their foot in the door, but without taking any risk.

yes they were, and Kenny you are wrong, there are internal changes and 15 PCI-E 6pin cables :O thats enough for quad SLI GTX285 classified's and a SR-2
